So I 'm a little late to the party due to illness, but hey.
I joined DA almost four years ago as a way to share my art and improve. I have improved, and have shared my art. I've created pieces I'm proud of, some not so much. In a way, this account has chronicled my life through hell and back.
One of my earliest scribbles, dear god.
Another early piece, I was so ridiculous...
But for me, deviantart has become something more. I have found some of my most precious friends on here. Jen, I'm looking at you. You've been there for me for absolutely ages, through my anarchic stage, to the depressed stage. I owe ya so much, Koda, and I love you to the moon and back. Thanks for being there for me, Aunt K.
Then there's Ellie. The crazy sister from another mister who appears in my inbox as if by magic on my bad days and makes me laugh my ass off. Ta, you wonderful rainbow shitter.
I've also been exposed to some simply gorgeous art. Such as these beauties -
I'll let this fractal piece speak for itself. I've only just found ChaosFissure, but all their work is AMAZING. GO check them out!!
TylerCreatesWorlds has been blessed with the amazing gift of sheer bloody brilliance when it comes to digital art. From his novae work, to his new indie style, he is a constant source of amazement for me.
This picture by yukihomu just makes me crazy jealous, to be able to draw, then digital paint like that, with the roughness of stroke and perfect use of light - how do you people do it??!!
This cross stitch by shingorengeki is simply fabulous. For a start, my m,other does cross stitch so I know how damn difficult photo-realistic stitching is. And then, who can fault their choice of topic?
Again, the use of color and light in this picture by GENZOMAN took my breath away.
I just love the mischief on their faces in this cheeky picture by homosocks
HOW CAN PEOPLE PAINT LIKE THIS!!! QpQ - by Goshawk.
By now you know me and color, and seeing this on daily deviations <3 - by Leonidafremov
I have been so inspired by all the wonderful people on here, you're all so supportive of a meager artist, and I hope to learn more from you all.
Love, and hippie kisses,
Kat x
